& my journey begins...who am I?

Wow!  My blog still exists and so do I!  I haven't scrapped in a while but I thought I would start a new project, about me!  I rarely scrap myself so this should be fun!

I started this week with a sketch from Creative Scrappers #224

Here is my take on it!

Dec GDT Challenge for Sketchy Thursdays

December GDT Challenge from Sketchy Thursdays
This months challenge was to use this sketch and make a page that reflects gratitude, thankfulness, Thanksgiving and all that goes along with a month celebrating the things we are grateful for.

I used Bo Bunny Ad Lib Scribbles pattern paper, Heidi Swapp stamp, Prima Frosting Flowers,  Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, different types of Thickers, misc buttons, and material.

Always remember the little moments we are thankful for.  Shane, Andrew, & Leo October '09 Cedar Hills Farm.

This is sketch 11.3 from Sketchy Thursdays.

Family Forever

I received this pp and embellishments from a SMS (same material swap) with some friends. As soon as I seen the title that was sent with it, I knew exactly what picture I wanted to scrap. My parents always wanted us to come to deer camp on Thanksgiving with them but with small kids we didn't have a lot of room to stay and Shane always seemed to be on call during Thanksgiving and there was not internet access at deer camp. In 2009 we finally made plans to go and it all worked out. We rented a small pop up camper and stayed almost a full week at deer camp. My Dad was so happy that we brought the boys down. Little did I know that shortly after this trip my Dad would get very sick with cancer. This is the only picture we have of everyone together, my Mom & Dad, bother Eric and his wife Alyana, Shane and I, and of course the kids Andrew, Leo, and Jack. I will cherish our deer camp trip and this picture forever!
